Slow Cooker Caramelized Onions – We Are Not Impressed

Caramelizing onions in a slow cooker like may sound like a good idea, especially in the light of gobs of YouTube videos claiming outstanding results.

Not only we were disappointed with the taste of the finished product, the time it took to caramelize them was well past 14 hours. Most of the videos claim the process should take somewhere from 10 to 8 ours.

For now we are staying with old fashion – skillet and on top of a stove.
